The Guatemalan beaded lizard (Heloderma horridum charlesbogerti) has not been formally Red listed as a subspecies, but is clearly critically endangered with an estimated 100-to-200 individuals remaining in its dry forest habitat, the size of a Texas cattle ranch, surrounded by unsuitable terrain.
