…a delighted to read, …outstanding photos
…a really good story, well-written, …a story worth reading
…a rare conservation success story

Lewis, who was based at the Institute of Jamaica, shared his reptile records from the expedition with the zoologist Chapman Grant (grandson of the former US President Ulysses Grant), and in 1940 the Grand Cayman Blue Iguana was introduced to the scientific literature for the first time, in a monograph “Herpetology of the Cayman Islands.”

Lewis’ words say it all:

“The species is near-extinct, and I doubt that more than
a dozen individuals still exist on the island.”

Due to a limited supply we are allowing a maximum of 2 copies per individual customer.
